At the academic level, the project involves the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Trieste and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Ljubljana. Numerical simulations will be piloted on selected cultural and conservation objects, which will be used to produce parametric studies that will allow the accurate design of numerical and material models. The studies will identify the mechanical parameters needed to simulate the structural behaviour of buildings with different structures and develop simple analytical tools to verify the results of the numerical analyses to assist designers in the future. The participating institutions Fibre Net, ATER, ZRMK and IPCHS will carry out simulations with the proposed strengthening technique on real buildings in nature. Cost analyses will be carried out and the developed technique, which avoids the relocation of inhabitants and activities from the interior of buildings, will be compared with other traditional approaches.
