The Salt Pans Cuisine 2024/2

Observation and adaptation to weather conditions have always been part of the work and life of a saltpanner. The flirtation with the sky, the instantaneous opening of the sluice gates, the setting of the sails of the windmills, the gathering of the remaining salt in the salt field and its storage were a veritable rush of the saline landscape before the rains.

Due to the forecasted rain, we are also forced to follow the weather and postpone the first edition of this year's Saltwater Cuisine event.

The event will be held with the same programme on Wednesday, 29 May 2024, starting at 17:00, in the southern area of the Sečovlje Salt Pans, Fontanigge, at the Salt Pans Museum.

You are cordially invited.
